DMC ALUMNI BOARD
DMC Alumni Board is an informed and engaged global community of Doctors, supporters
and influencers who contribute to the long term health of the University and the wider alumni community by
sharing their expertise, experience and insights. The Board is made up of alumni who bring a wide range of
perspectives and expertise to the table: geographic, generational and professional. They participate in Board
meetings three times a year and via interim meetings and other ad hoc volunteer roles and projects. Terms are
typically three years.

Alumni Board Standing Orders
Dr. Rahman serves as the Chair of the DMC UK Alumni Board. He is a dedicated clinician,
healthcare strategist, and advisor with a strong focus on medical innovation and global
health development. Over the years, his career has spanned clinical practice, medical
leadership roles within the NHS, healthcare research collaborations, and community health
initiatives involving Bangladeshi diaspora professionals in the United Kingdom.
As an advocate for advanced medical education and digital healthcare solutions, he also
contributes to several UK-based professional networks and charitable organisations. Under
his leadership, the DMC UK Alumni Board continues to strengthen professional connections,
support mentoring programmes for young doctors, and promote the legacy of Dhaka Medical
College on an international platform.
Dr. Rahman completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in the early 2000s. He has lived
and worked in multiple cities across Bangladesh and the UK, and is currently based in London.
